Metis is proud to announce that Atlas Magnetics Europe BV has selected the Metis HyMPulse system for material characterization and Research and Development.
Atlas Magnetics Europe B.V. is a fast growing European player in the high-end permanent magnet market, magnetic systems, flexible magnets and ANO-FOL. The company’s main markets today are Aerospace, Automotive, Energy, Medical, Semiconductor and Industrial Drives. Together with it’s strategic alliances in production and logistics they are specialized in supplying high quality, tailor made products and services.
The permanent magnet market is rapidly evolving towards high coercivity material with free form geometries like segments and rings. Atlas Magnetics Europe BV was looking for a system that could fundamentally tackle this trend. Traditional hysteresis graphs are limited in field strength and measurable geometries. Thanks to its patented measurement probe and it pulsed field, the HyMPulse is able to measure magnets with industrial shapes and with coercivities in excess of
3500 kA/m.
Since both Metis and the Research & Development group of Atlas Magnetics Europe B.V. focus on innovation and high-end applications there was a great interactivity of ideas for potential extensions of the existing system. One such development was done to increase the range of measurable magnet volumes. The current setup allows for industry compliant measurements of magnet volumes from 50 till 10 000 mm³.
